Sprint’s version of the Moto X smartphone is now getting the Android 4.4.4 update, a couple of weeks after the carrier started sending the update through a soak test. Customers can see the usual set of changes with the update including the addition of the Motorola Alert app by default.
The smartphone is also getting an all new dialer as well as some improvements to the camera app such as the ability to pause video recording and better camera exposure for images. But overall, the UI will remain relatively unchanged so don’t expect any noticeable differences on board.
Considering that Android 4.4.4 was first rolled out in June, the update has certainly taken its time to land on Motorola’s flagship offering. Obviously, the carriers are much to blame for the delay as unlocked models of the Moto X have already received the update.
The carrier will most likely finish the rollout of the update over the coming days. Make sure you let us know if your Sprint Moto X has received the update already.
