Samsung’s three sided display reportedly enters production

Samsung YOUM

If word coming out from a supplier is to be believed, Samsung has officially begun production of its three sided displays for smartphones. This display is quite unique in its design as it allows the user to interact with the device from the side as well. This is possible thanks to the company’s YOUM display panels which are being developed from over a couple of years now.

Although rumors have indicated that Samsung will use this display for the Galaxy Note 4, it seems unlikely at this point since there’s not much time left for the unveiling of the device. However, given the company’s habit of bringing something new with each iteration of the Note flagship, we won’t be surprised to see this display being used on the Galaxy Note 4. There are reports indicating that this curved display version of the Galaxy Note 4 could see a limited release with the standard flat screen model launching on a global scale. So we can’t rule out anything at the moment.
