The Samsung Galaxy Alpha was an important device in the company’s timeline, as it was the first Android handset from the manufacturer to feature premium design and materials. It seems like this wasn’t just an experimental project as the company is reportedly readying the launch of three similar smartphones under the “A Series”. According to insider sources cited by Sam Mobile, smartphones with the model numbers SM-A300, SM-A500 and SM-A700 are expected to break cover soon.
The source also mentions that the A300 will have a 960 x 540 resolution display, while the A500 and A700 will both pack Full HD 1080p display panels. Since we’re expecting a similar design as the Galaxy Alpha with these devices, there could be elements of metal used in their making as well, which is welcome news.
It has also been said that the three smartphones will feature better front cameras as compared to the current crop of Samsung smartphones. Launch is reportedly scheduled for Q3 2014, but there’s no word on whether they will be shown off at the IFA next month where the Galaxy Note 4 is expected to take center stage.
