Samsung Galaxy Note 4 clone from Goophone goes official

Goophone Galaxy Note 4

Goophone has a notorious reputation of ripping off popular smartphones from the likes of Samsung and Apple in Chinese markets. We’ve seen various iPhone clones as well as multiple Samsung flagships over the past couple of years falling victim to Goophone’s shady practices. And given that Samsung is launching the Galaxy Note 4 at next month’s IFA event, it was only natural for the manufacturer to have its own version out in the market.

Ironically, the rip off will be available for purchase even before Samsung makes the official announcement of the Galaxy Note 4. The device will be sold through the company’s online store in the coming days for an undisclosed amount, but don’t expect it to go heavy on your wallets. The hardware underneath is not going to be anything like the Galaxy Note 4, so don’t expect a 2K resolution display or a Snapdragon 805 SoC on the Goophone Note 4.

The smartphone packs a 5.7 inch display with a native resolution of 1080p, a 13-megapixel camera on the back, a 5-megapixel front camera, a 1.7 GHz octa core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and a 3,200 mAh battery. Expect the handset to cost somewhere close to $300.
