One of Motorola’s most successful smartphones, the Moto G, is almost due a successor in the coming months. With leaks already giving us an idea of the design and looks, new reports are spilling the beans on the hardware of this budget droid as well.
If these reports are to be believed, the smartphone could feature a slightly larger display at 5 inches with a 720p resolution and even possess a better 8-megapixel camera. The processor on board however will apparently remain the same as the current version of the Moto G (Snapdragon 400). However, the clock speed has been reportedly increased to 2.2 GHz, although we have no official confirmation of this yet. The device is also believed to be packing 8GB of internal storage and 1GB of RAM, which isn’t a lot different from the current iteration.
Considering that the Moto G was launched in November last year, we might not see the successor breaking cover until later in the year. However, it’s good to have early word on the hardware of the handset to get an idea of where the company is headed.
