Motorola’s wooden variants of the Moto X have been quite popular after facing several delays in launch. However, since it requires special materials to be used, customers are charged an extra $25 on the total asking price.
But customers can now get the wooden back panel upgrade on their Moto X for free until August 21 via Moto Maker. This means that buyers will have to pay the same amount as a standard polycarbonate version of the Moto X even if they’re getting the wooden variant.
Unfortunately, customers only have until Thursday to avail this offer so there’s not much time if you’re looking to get a new Moto X. Given that the Moto X successor is not too far away, deals and discounts are expected to flow in at this point. So if you’re in the market for a Moto X, do not hesitate to have a look at the available wooden back panel options.
The device itself has received innumerable price reductions over the past couple of months, so you won’t be shelling out a lot on the smartphone either.
