With LG having recently launched the G3 and the G3 Beat, one would imagine that the company won’t have any new devices in the pipeline for the foreseeable future. However, a new promotional video uploaded to YouTube has revealed the existence of a new smartphone called the LG G3 Stylus. As the name plainly puts it, the LG G3 Stylus is nothing but a G3 with a stylus. And the device has some key changes from the flagship, further suggesting that this is a separate unit.
When the smartphone is shown at the end of the video, it is seen that the back doesn’t have the laser autofocus and only packs a single LED flash, which could be a sacrifice made to accommodate the stylus. It also has a dedicated silo for the stylus, similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Note devices, although the stylus itself isn’t all that advanced. It appears to be a conventional capacitive stylus with no buttons on it, so don’t expect any S-Pen like tricks on it.
Interestingly, the promo video here is focused primarily on the LG G3 Beat, but has inadvertently revealed the existence of the G3 Stylus as well. With official confirmation coming from the company, we’re now waiting for the manufacturer to provide launch and pricing related details. It will be interesting to see if there are any other changes on the device compared to the standard G3.
