Samsung is no strange to multimillion smartphone sales, with all of its flagships in recent years having crossed the 10 million sales mark with ease. However, things haven’t been so good for its home competitor LG, which has struggled like all other Android manufacturers to make a profit and sell a hugely meaningful number of devices. It looks like times are changing though, as LG has announced it will soon have sold 10 million units of the LG G3.
The G3 will be the first device in LG’s phone making history to achieve 10 million sales. Given the phone was launched less than two months ago, it means LG has been selling almost 5 million units of the G3 per month, which is a good indication of just how popular the phone has become. Of course, the fact that it is the first smartphone from a mainstream manufacturer to sport a Quad HD display has no doubt helped, and this is hopefully a sign that Samsung won’t be the only manufacturer selling a boatload of devices in the coming months.
