Xiaomi is largely known in China as a manufacturer that offers flagship level hardware with a budget pricing. But since recently, the company has been making noise on the global level as well. And now we’re getting an early look at what could be donning future Xiaomi smartphones, dubbed as MIUI v6. In comparison to the current iteration of MIUI, this iteration appears to have a lot of changes. And while the UI already bears resemblance to Apple’s iOS, this time around the company has clearly taken inspiration from HTC’s Sense UI as well.
Xiaomi is known for being “inspired” by other manufacturers, although they don’t openly admit it, but we’ll let the customers be the judge of that. Since this is just a leak at this point, there’s no word on whether Xiaomi will roll out an update to owners of the current crop of smartphones or if this will remain an exclusive to upcoming devices. Oddly enough, this version of MIUI is seemingly running on an unknown build of Jelly Bean, judging by the USB debugging icon on the top, so it could still be a work in progress.
