AT&T has begun the rollout of Android 4.4.3 for its version of the HTC One M8. This comes after T-Mobile and Sprint started rolling out the update to the device a few weeks ago. AT&T is also expected to be rolling out the Sense 6 update for the One Mini later this week, so the carrier has clearly been quite busy over the past few days.
The update will introduce all the customary changes that we expect from Android 4.4.3, including the Open SSL fix which required a separate Android 4.4.4 update for Nexus and other stock Android devices. This means that Android 4.4.3 will probably be the last version of KitKat to hit the One M8 before Android L is commercially released later this year.
HTC also has some changes of its own with the update which includes improvements to the BoomSound speakers, Extreme Power Saving Mode, Quick Settings as well as Motion Launch. Apps such as Camera, Gallery, HTC Sync Manager and Settings are receiving an update as well, so there’s plenty to look forward to if you own an AT&T branded One M8.
