The Sony Xperia Z2 has been available globally for quite some time now, although American customers have been made to wait a while. The smartphone is expected to be launched exclusively in the region through Verizon, although nothing has been made official yet. But if the wait is getting too long for you, the device can be snatched up via Sony USA directly from its official website. Since this is the unlocked model, users will have to shell out $699.99 up front, which is a $50 discount on the original asking price.
The smartphone is compatible with GSM networks from T-Mobile as well as AT&T, so you can pick either of the two carriers if you’re looking to get the smartphone. Strangely, the listing mentions the device to be packing a Snapdragon 800 SoC while it actually sports the Snapdragon 801 chipset, so we’re guessing it’s an error on the website. Barring that, this is pretty much the same variant you’ll get elsewhere and supports LTE on compatible networks. Sony is selling the smartphone in white, black and purple color variants.
So if you’ve been waiting to get the next best thing from Sony, look no further.
