T-Mobile has been in the news of late for all its customer friendly promotions and we can add a new one to the list. Starting July 20, the carrier will supposedly launch something known as the Equipment Installment Plan or EIP which essentially allows users to purchase accessories such as smartwatches or expensive headphones with monthly installments.
This info was revealed by a leaked document originally accessed by TmoNews. The document appears to be a sales guide which talks about how representatives should bring up accessories during conversations with customers. We’re guessing there will be a minimum price point which will be eligible for the EIP and accessories like smartphone cases might not be eligible as they usually don’t cost more than $20.
It’s a good plan nevertheless and will certainly entice customers to buy more accessories straight from the carrier without the pains of having to pay all the money up front. Further details regarding the Equipment Installment Plan are awaited from the carrier. We can expect a formal announcement about this in the coming days leading up to the 20th of July.
