T-Mobile has just announced a new midrange offering from Samsung known as the Galaxy Avant. Considering that it’s a budget handset, buyers will only have to shell out $214 full retail or $9 per month for a period of two years through the carrier’s monthly installment plan.
The smartphone has a 4.5 inch 960 x 540 display, a quad core 1.2 GHz processor, 16GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot, 1.5GB of RAM, a 5-megapixel camera, Android 4.4 KitKat and 4G LTE. This is essentially a carrier rebranded version of the Galaxy Core LTE, so the hardware is quite familiar to us.
The Galaxy Avant is a decent alternative for any midrange handset you can buy in the market today and it’s good to know that T-Mobile has introduced such an offering. You should be able to get the smartphone in stores and online starting today. Does an offering like the Galaxy Avant interest you? Let us know in the comments below.
