Sprint has just launched a new WiFi hotspot/projector combo called the LivePro. It runs Android out of the box, which should offer users the versatility to project a wide range of content without breaking a sweat. It’s a very unique concept and one which has been tried in the past before.
It has a small display where users will be able to operate the device, with what looks like a regular Android home screen. Pricing has been set at $450 outright or $18.75 per month for two years.
The projector on the device is capable of showing content on up to 10 x 10 feet walls. But since this is a WiFi hotspot, the projector feature is mostly secondary.
As you can see from the image, it comes with HDMI and USB ports along with a standard 3.5mm audio jack. So you can stream content onto bigger screens if you so desire. The hotspot also supports devices which make use of WiFi Miracast, which is an added bonus. Sprint is touting this as a solution for homes as well, so don’t think you can only use this for your work presentations.
Do you think the Sprint LivePro is worth its price? Let us know in the comments below.
