Sprint users were able to purchase the LG G3 ahead of schedule last week. And those lucky users who managed to get their hands on the device can now be on the lookout for a new update which brings the WiFi calling feature on board. The Android version remains unchanged (Android 4.4.2), but the addition of WiFi calling is big news nonetheless. Using this new feature, users will be able to make calls using WiFi networks, thus saving a fortune on standard cellular costs.
The G Flex which was launched late last year, is also getting the update on Sprint. The carrier has been rolling out these updates to plenty of its devices, including the HTC One M8 earlier today. If you’ve received the update on your G Flex or the G3, make sure you let us know by dropping a line below. It will appear as a standard OTA update and shouldn’t be too large considering that it’s a relatively minor update.
