After a teaser and a subsequent leak yesterday revealed its arrival, the selfie centered Sony Xperia C3 handset has been officially announced by the company. Most of the hardware details were revealed by the leak yesterday, but it’s good to have a final confirmation on the hardware from the manufacturer.
The highlight of the smartphone obviously is the camera on the front, which is a 5-megapixel wide angle lens accompanied by a LED flash right next to it. Given its credentials, the camera has plenty of customization options of its own to further improve your self portraits.
The Xperia C3 also packs a 5.5 inch 720p display, a quad core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 SoC, 8-megapixel camera on the back, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot, Android 4.4 KitKat and a 2,500 mAh battery. The smartphone comes with dual-SIM support as well, which is an essential features for midrange offerings in Asian markets.
Color options include black, white and mint with China reportedly being the first market to get it. Luckily, the handset won’t be limited to a particular region as Sony is expected to launch it globally as well.
