Just a few days after the possible front panel of the Sony Xperia Z3 and Z3 compact was leaked, we now have our first possible images of the full device powered on and being used.
This is the Chinese model of the Z3 with model number L55t, which is an upgrade from the Z2’s L50t model number. At first glance, it looks to be very similar to the Z2, but there are numerous hardware differences.
The Z3 is running Android 4.4.4 KitKat on top of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 MSM8974-AC chipset with 2.5 GHz of quad-core processing power and Adreno 330 graphics. That appears to be the end of the differences though, with the rear camera using the same 20.7 MP sensor found in both the original Xperia Z1 and the Z2.
There aren’t any other details about this device yet, but it’s likely Sony could introduce the final hardware and software that the Z3 will have at the IFA tradeshow in Berlin, as they have done in the past. With these leaks so far, does the Z3 sound like a compelling device against other flagships?
