Sony to launch a selfie centric smartphone tomorrow

Sony Selfie Phone

Selfies are in trend right now and it seems like Sony will try to leverage that with its new offering starting tomorrow. This comes after the company posted a teaser on Twitter showing a group of people posing for a selfie accompanied by the following set of hash tags – “#GetTheFullPicture #Tomorrow“. It’s not clear as to what’s exactly new with this smartphone apart from the obvious, but we don’t think it will be a hardware beast like the Xperia Z2 as the company wouldn’t want to saturate the market with multiple flagship devices.

It is being said that the device would sport a front facing LED flash which is unusual for a smartphone, but Sony won’t mind starting off a new trend given the significance of selfies these days. Front cameras traditionally don’t rely on flash at all and the users have to make do with the brightness offered by the display. So this could be a decent addition to the device’s repertoire as companies look to make their smartphones as unique as possible. Would you be interested in a handset like this?
