Motorola seems to be on a roll of late with the Moto X+1 preparing launch along with the Moto 360 smartwatch. And a new leak today has revealed yet another smartphone from the manufacturer, which is apparently the second generation Moto G.
The Moto G was launched late last year, so it’s not completely unexpected that the successor would be on its way already. The image reveals that it’s indeed a new smartphone and there appears to be front facing stereo speakers, similar to what we saw on the Moto E recently.
The source claims that the Moto G successor (XT-1068) will sport a 720p display of unknown dimensions, a quad core Snapdragon 400 SoC, dual SIM standby and an 8-megapixel camera which is perhaps the only change compared to the predecessor. We’re also hoping the display to be a little bigger than 4.5 inches, barring which there shouldn’t be a lot of changes.
Numbers have suggested that the Moto G was the company’s highest selling smartphone, so it’s quite clear that the midrange formula has clicked for the manufacturer. There are no specific details regarding launch at the moment, but we should get more details in the coming days.
