Samsung Apps will now be known as Galaxy Apps

Galaxy Apps

Samsung Apps is now officially getting an update which renames it to Galaxy Apps. It was expected of the company to ditch the Samsung Apps branding soon and that is exactly what has happened today.

Samsung Apps has pretty much the same lineup of apps as the Play Store, but with the addition of a few exclusive apps for Samsung devices. So if you’re a Samsung smartphone user, you should see an update sometime soon.

The update to Galaxy Apps also brings a new user interface which will be welcomed by the users. The update can be performed manually through the settings section of the app as well. This is merely a visual refresh and old purchases will in no way be impacted by the new update.

So make sure you’re on the lookout for an update and make sure you let us know if you’re already seeing Galaxy Apps on your Samsung smartphone.
