Makers of popular fitness app Runtastic have just launched their own fitness tracker/wearable called Orbit. The device will be launched in U.S. with a price of $120, with shipping to commence on the 11th of August.
At the moment, the Orbit wearable isn’t compatible with cycling apps from Runtastic, but support is believed to be on its way soon. The tracker can be worn on the wrist or attached to a belt buckle just as easily, so it’s pretty versatile in that regard. Of course, the Orbit is water resistant and is meant to be with you all throughout the day. Battery life is expected to be a week on full charge, which is quite decent for a wearable.
Runtastic Me is a dedicated app meant for the Orbit and will help you track all vitals and control the wearable just like you would with a smartwatch. The Runtastic Orbit might be a bit on the expensive side at $120, but considering the name Runtastic has made for itself in the market, it can probably convince the fans to give this new wearable a try.
