PayPal has now brought its official application to the Samsung Gear 2 smartwatch, allowing customers to seamlessly make transactions on the go. This comes a few days after the app was announced to be launching on Android Wear devices.
PayPal is one of the world’s largest money transfer portals and having a dedicated app on one of Samsung’s premier smartwatches will surely have a massive impact. Customers can download the app via the Gear Manager app on their compatible Samsung smartphone and sideload it to the Gear 2.
The app allows users to check recent transactions, check into stores and even redeem offers without having to operate the smartphone, so it’s a pretty nifty application to have. The version number is listed as 1.40, so make a note of that while downloading the app.
With the advent of Android Wear devices, the likes of the Gear 2 might not receive much love from the customers. But the addition of apps like these will put it on level footing with any competing smartwatch available out there.
