The LG G3 S moniker was revealed earlier today by a German user manual of the smartphone. And now, a retailer in Russia named Svyaznoy has managed to access the complete specs sheet along with authentic looking press images of the handset. As we can see from the images, LG has retained most of the design aspects from the G3, which includes the back buttons.
It’s going to be interesting to see whether LG will hold a formal announcement for the smartphone or directly launch them in key markets to save time. The LG G3 S is expected to reach Europe and Asia as well, with China getting the device as the LG G3 Beat. A variant of the LG G3 S is also headed towards American carrier AT&T.
The specs sheet mentioned by the Russian retailer are as follows:
- 5-inch 1280 x 720 display
- 8-megapixel rear with Laser Auto Focus, 1.3-megapixel front camera
- 1.2 GHz quad-core processor
- 1GB of RAM
- 8GB storage, microSD card slot
- 2,540 mAh battery
- 137.75 x 69.6 x 10.3mm
- Android 4.4.2 KitKat
This is pretty much what we expect from a midrange offering and it’s not surprising in the least. The all important question will be the pricing of this smartphone, which shouldn’t exceed $250 in our book. What do you think?
