We know that the Moto 360 can do a lot of things, but did you know that it also packs an ambient light sensor? While it’s not as eye catching as some of its other features, the availability of an ambient light sensor could roughly translate to improved screen visibility and considerably better battery life. The light sensor adjusts the brightness of the display based on the surroundings, which is something that the current crop of Android Wear smartwatches cannot do.
This is certainly going to be a crucial feature on the smartwatch, given the sort of attention and buzz it has already received. Motorola plans to bring the smartwatch to the market in a few months from now, so we’ll still have to wait a while to see it in action. The revelation was made on a demo video uploaded by TechCrunch on its YouTube channel. You can watch the complete video below and skip to the 1:50 mark where the Motoola representative mentions the availability of the ambient light sensor.
