Chinese manufacturer Lenovo is climbing up the ladder in the smartphone industry, mostly with its offerings in China. A new report indicates that the company could take it to a new level this year with approximately 60 handsets expected to be launched. This doesn’t come as a surprise as the dynamics have changed since the past couple of years and launching one or three smartphones per year just won’t cut it. Luckily for Lenovo, it has the resources to churn out plenty of new smartphones every year.
We must note here that the 60 smartphones do not include Motorola made devices, so don’t get your hopes up just yet. But Lenovo handsets are quite popular in its home region of China and across the Asian continent. It will be interesting to see if any of these smartphones will ever make its way to the U.S.
The company’s current flagship, the Vibe Z, has been very popular with its metal design and flagship hardware, so we can expect many more devices like that to come later this year.
