The Sony Xperia Z3 has been rumored to be in the making for quite some time now, and Evleaks has finally managed to access the specs sheet of the smartphone. At first glance, it’s hard to distinguish the device from the Xperia Z2 as there’s barely anything new in terms of internal hardware. This is based on the assumption that the leak is legitimate.
The leak suggests that the smartphone packs a 5.15-inch 1080p display, a 20.7-megapixel camera, the quad core Snapdragon 801 chipset, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
Given the pace at which Sony is looking to bring flagships to the market, it must be quite hard for the R&D department to come up with something new every six months. Many would have expected the Xperia Z3 to sport a QHD display given that it’s in the trend of late, but it seems like Sony might stick to the standard full HD display instead. We’re not sure recent Xperia Z2 owners will be too fond of Sony’s surprisingly quick device refresh cycle.
