T-Mobile has now enabled its VoLTE service in the San Francisco area as per the CEO of the carrier, John Legere. The carrier only recently announced the rollout of this service in Seattle, so it’s good to see that they’re expanding already.
The benefits of getting a VoLTE connection are plenty as users will be able to make premium quality voice calls with their data network and will be able to use LTE data at the same time as well, which is a feature absent from standard LTE.
The carrier hopes to expand this feature to more regions in the coming months, so it is certainly headed in the right direction. Even AT&T enabled VoLTE in a handful of regions last month, while Verizon is waiting for until later this year to bring the service nationwide rather than a few regions.
T-Mobile customers using the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, the LG G Flex or the Sony Xperia Z can make use of the newly enabled VoLTE service in San Francisco or Seattle.
