The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the LG G Pro 2 are two of the most recognized high end phablets available in the market. However, given that newer devices are entering the market, it’s quite natural for the demand to simmer down a little. In order to combat this, it is said that the two handsets might receive a price reduction soon in order to look more appealing to consumers.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 which currently costs close to $1049 in South Korea will reportedly get a price drop to $933. The more recent G Pro 2 on the other hand will receive a substantial $196 discount bringing the price to ($786). These are the prices of the unlocked and contract free versions of the smartphones of course, so the price reduction is unlikely to take effect everywhere.
But we might see carriers and other retailers offering decent discounts on the two smartphones in a bid to remain competitive despite the presence of newer device. And we dearly hope the price reduction happens on a global scale rather than just South Korea.
