PayPal has just announced its official app for Android Wear devices. This comes merely hours after the LG G Watch and the Samsung Gear Live were made official. The app will be rolled out through PayPal’s beta channels for the time being, but will be ready in time for Android Wear’s official public release (July 7).
Considered one of the largest online fund transfer merchants, PayPal is known to be the first to venture into new segments and niches. The company made the news a few months ago by launching dedicated apps for the Samsung Gear 2 and the Gear Fit. Considering the support Google is getting for Android Wear from major corporations like PayPal and several others, having suitable apps in time for the launch will not be a concern at all.
As you can see from the screenshots above, PayPal on Android Wear will have swipable slides, similar to apps like Hangouts which were demoed earlier today by Google. Users can either swipe to the right or scroll down for more information on payments received, transactions made etc.
We won’t be surprised to see Android Wear bringing support for several other productivity app, making lives much easier for Android users.
