OnLive, Mad Catz Team Up To Stream AAA Games To Mad Catz M.O.J.O.

If you own the Mad Catz M.O.J.O. Android gaming console then things are going to get exciting for your device as OnLive has partnered with Mad Catz to bring cloud-streamed games to a large TV using the M.O.J.O. microconsole. Darren Richardson, the president and chief executive officer of Mad Catz, said that “We designed Mojo to a high specification, as we conceived the platform to grow and evolve, encompassing new features and services over time. With the new generation of Cloud Gaming that OnLive heralds, gamers can now play triple-A and PC Steam-purchased games in high-definition through their Mojo. With our dedicated C.T.R.L.R, we can move the high-end gaming experience away from the desktop PC and into the living room.”

Rick Sanchez, the vice president of product and marketing at OnLive, further added that “One of our best features is that OnLive brings big games to small devices. We want to be everywhere the gamer wants to play their games, and Mojo from Mad Catz is a perfect fit in every respect. As a micro-console powered by Android, it’s powerful beyond its size, and now by installing the optimized OnLive Android app, users have access to the latest triple-A games from publishers like Codemasters, Deep Silver, Devolver Digital, Gaijin Entertainment, Kalypso, Paradox, and Warner Bros.”

Owners of the Mad Catz M.O.J.O. will now be able to use the updated OnLive Android app which can be downloaded at the Google Play Store to stream more than 250 AAA titles from OnLive’s PlayPack game service bundle.  The app is optimized to work with the console and the C.T.R.L.R Mobile Gamepad both of which are essential parts of Mad Catz GameSmart range of mobile hardware. Bandwidth caps are now user defined which can now go as high as 720p at 60 fps on a large screen HDTV.

If you already own a M.O.J.O. and would like to test this out OnLive is offering a free 7-day trial of CloudLift for new users. This is the service that allows customers to play PC games via the cloud. After the 7 day trial period has expired and you would like to continue the service then a monthly fee of $7.95 will be charged.
