Motorola only has a handful of devices to take care of with the most recent one being the Moto E, which isn’t exactly a hardware beast. While the other two, namely the Moto G and the Moto X both pack a midrange and high end hardware respectively. Then there are the trio of Verizon DROID smartphones which were launched last year, but those aren’t available globally or even with all carriers in the U.S.
And now, the VP of Product Management at Motorola, Punit Soni has just posted a screenshot on Google+ showing a device carrying a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It appears to be a stock Android device, but the hypebeasting has already begun that this could well be Motorola’s next flagship device which has been inadvertently revealed by the company executive.
The screenshot was posted in response to a user query where Soni is showing how to show or hide the current network name in the status bar, which is a feature introduced with Android 4.4.3. So could this be what we think it is? Or is Soni merely using something like the Nexus 5 as his daily driver? Lots of theories floating around, but we won’t jump to conclusions just yet.
