Chinese manufacturer Hisense is known for its low cost offerings around the world. The company has now struck a deal with American retailer Walmart to sell its latest Sero 8 tablet in its outlets. For the time being, it seems like Walmart is the only seller to offer the tablet in the U.S.
The Hisense Sero 8 packs a display resolution of 1280 x 800 which is expected given that it’s a budget device. Other specs of the tablet include a quad core 1.6 GHz processor, a 2-megapixel camera on the back and a front facing 0.3-megapixel sensor. The tablet also packs 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot and Android 4.4 KitKat.
Connectivity options include Bluetooth 3.0, mini-HDMI and a standard micro USB port for charging and data transfer. Pricing has been set at $129 for the Sero 8 which makes it the best tablet being offered at this price range. The fact that it’s running KitKat out of the box makes the deal even better.
Walmart’s website claims that the tablet will be offered in-store only, so you can’t place an order online. So make sure you head over to your nearest Walmart outlet to pick up the Sero 8 for a measly $129.
