Here’s how to check if your smartphone or tablet is compatible with Android Wear

Android Wear

With Google officially sharing details on Android Wear yesterday, we were waiting to find information on which devices will be compatible with the hardware. Google has now launched a decent online tool to check compatibility with your device, thus providing instant info on whether you can buy an Android Wear smartwatch for your device or not.

From what we could gather, Android Wear is compatible with devices running Android 4.3 and above, but if you were still concerned whether your device will be able to handle it, make sure you check – to find out.

It’s good to know that Google wants users to easily understand if they own compatible hardware rather than making them wait until the manufacturers come out with confirmation. As expected, iPhones are not supported with Android Wear at the moment, so you will find that it’s incompatible if you navigate to the link above using an iOS device.
