A little over two weeks after Google started rolling out the Android 4.4.3 update for the Nexus and GPE devices, the same smartphones and tablets are now getting the Android 4.4.4 update with the build number (KTU84P). It’s quite strange for Google to roll out another update within a few days, but it’s clear that they are looking to fix some of the plaguing issues that Android 4.4.3 couldn’t fix.
There’s no word on the complete changelog at the moment, but it is said that the update fixes OpenSSL vulnerabilities on these devices. The factory images are already live on Google’s servers so you can manually download and flash the update provided you know how it’s done.
We will wait for an official changelog from Google, but at the moment it seems like there won’t be any major visual differences with the update. The update is currently being sent out to the Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7, Nexus 10 and GPE devices.
Make sure you drop a line below if you’ve received the update already.
