A new leak has revealed HTC’s plans for the imminent Android 4.4.4 update. Understandably, the One M8 and the One M7 will be among the first to get the update in July-August, while midrange devices will have to wait. The likes of the One Mini 2, One E8 and the dual SIM version of the One M7 are slated to get the update in August-September.
The likes of the One Mini, Butterfly S and other midrange offerings are unfortunately not planned for an update at the moment, which is bad news for the customers. This also means that Android L is pretty much out of question for these devices. Flagship HTC devices on the other hand will have to wait until November or December for Android L to roll out.
You can check the complete roadmap below to get a better idea of what to expect for your HTC smartphone. The HTC Advantage program promises users that the latest update will arrive within 90 days of its release, so it’s good to see the company living up to that promise, at least to some extent.
