The ZTE Nubia X6 broke cover in China a couple of months ago but went on sale only recently. It is now being reported that the smartphone has gone out of stock in just under 10 seconds since it was made available to the general public. The caveat here though is that ZTE hasn’t announced exactly how many devices it has sold, so the company has no reason to be excited yet. The company’s hesitance to announce the actual figure is indicative of the fact that it hadn’t stocked up a lot.
But for the manufacturer, this is yet another way to build interest and generate hype for its flagship product which is competing with some serious contenders in the Chinese mobile space. As a refresher, the Nubia X6 comes with a massive 6.4 inch 1080p display, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 801 chipset, 32GB of storage sans the microSD card slot, 3GB of RAM, Android 4.4.2 KitKat and a 4,250 mAh battery.
The company is expected to restock the handset on May 27 at 10AM, so those who couldn’t get the smartphone today will have to wait until next week. Considering the demand it has seen so far, it is expected that the manufacturer will ensure that the device doesn’t run out of stock quickly.
