A new benchmark listing on AnTuTu has revealed the presence of an upcoming Vertu device known as the Signature Touch. And unlike standard Vertu devices, this one focuses on the internal hardware as well, at least according to the benchmark scores. AnTuTu shows a decent score of 31,509 with its quad core 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 800 SoC, which is quite decent.
The smartphone is also expected to feature 16GB of internal storage, 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel rear camera with a front facing 2-megapixel shooter and Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The display size isn’t mentioned in the listing, but it will reportedly be a 1080p panel.
Vertu smartphones have traditionally been centered towards the build quality and the premium materials used in its making. We don’t think the company will sacrifice that aspect of the hardware with the Signature Touch, but it’s good to know that customers will also get capable hardware for a device which could cost north of $5000.
Additional details are yet to be disclosed, but benchmark listings are usually an indication of the device’s imminent arrival, so we might not have to wait long.
