Verizon has just listed the LG G3 on its website with a sign-up page, which will tell users when the device will be available for purchase. The smartphone is listed as “coming soon”, but the handset should be available in a month from now, which is when other carrier variants of the handset are expected to be available as well.
T-Mobile has claimed that its variant of the LG G3 will be available “this Summer” with no specific date mentioned. AT&T on the other hand has only mentioned that the smartphone will be launched later this year, so it’s hard to narrow down the precise launch date of the handset at the moment.
But it’s good to know that the smartphone will be available from America’s largest carrier at the time of launch, in addition to several other carriers of course. We’re hoping to see a simultaneous release across all carriers to maintain a level playing field, but considering what happened with the HTC One M8, we can’t rule out initial exclusivity to a particular carrier.
The LG G3 is going to be a constant part of the news in the coming days as it features a 5.5 inch QHD resolution display, a 2.5 GHz quad core Snapdragon 801 chipset, 2 or 3GB of RAM, 16/32GB of internal storage (expandable), a 13-megapixel OIS+ camera with laser auto focus, a 3,000 mAh battery and Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
