The T-Mobile variant of the Galaxy S5 has been claimed to be suffering from an SMS and MMS bug which wouldn’t allow incoming messages. Luckily, the carrier is now sending an update to the devices containing the fix to this bug, so the problem should disappear once you install it.
It’s a minor bug fixing update weighing 131.31MB, so you won’t see any other major changes on board. T-Mobile is claiming that the update will stretch from now until the 10th of June, so don’t be surprised if the update notification doesn’t appear instantly on your Galaxy S5.
But if you’re particularly impatient to get the update, you can try looking for one manually by heading over to Settings – General – About device – Software update. It’s good to know that T-Mobile is listening to user queries and has responded in the affirmative regarding a plaguing issue.
If you’ve received the update already, make sure you let us know by dropping a line below.
