Samsung is known for some massive smartphones, with some models of the Galaxy Tab 7 acting as a phone as well as a tablet. And it seems like the company is finally ready to market a 7 inch device as a full blown smartphone, as a new leak from Korea indicates. What we’re seeing here is a brochure of the upcoming Galaxy W which is supposedly going to feature a 7 inch display. As you can see from the image, it comes with a flip cover and an earpiece, just like a standard smartphone from Samsung.
Sam Mobile claims that the Galaxy W is nothing but the Korean variant of the Galaxy Mega 2 which is expected to break cover soon. We were expecting the second gen Galaxy Mega to be larger than the predecessor which was already big with its 6.3 inch display, so this doesn’t really surprise us.
As far as hardware is concerned, the Galaxy W is reportedly packing a 720p display, a 1.2 GHz quad core processor, 8GB of storage, 1.5GB of RAM and Android 4.3 with something known as the “Phoneblet UX” with features like Multi Window and others which we usually associate with Samsung devices.
