Samsung has officially announced that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Education tablet is now available for K-12 schools nationwide. This device is basically a Galaxy Tab 4 model that has a ruggedized chassis and comes with Google Play for Education. It’s designed to address the needs of the K-12 environment by being durable, easily manageable, and have access to digital learning sources.
According to Tod Pike, senior vice president at Samsung’s Enterprise Business Division, “Samsung is committed to powering education by empowering educators, and this requires technology that is built specifically for the classroom environment. This new Galaxy Tab, designed for education, is an important step toward achieving that vision as it combines the accessibility and engagement of our leading tablet devices with simple, intuitive management tools to foster a more interactive and effective learning environment.”

In terms of specs this device is similar to the Galaxy Tab 4. Its Google Play for Education feature allows educators access to various teacher-approved apps, videos, and books among others bringing a more personalized form of education to students.
Schools that want to scale up to the to scale up 1:1 initiative will have no problem with this device since it also comes with a Management Console for an additional $30 charge per device. This allows IT administrators to easily update the fleet of devices that the school uses.
One other feature that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Education will soon have is access to Samsung School. This is an education solution that is designed for students and teachers alike which brings innovative teaching and learning tools.
