Samsung has just announced a “Premiere” event for June 12, with the new Galaxy Tab S possibly on the agenda. The invitation reads – “Tab Into Color” which is a clear hint at the upcoming AMOLED tablets from the company. The Korean manufacturer is expected to launch 10.5 inch and 8.4 inch AMOLED tablets, with a 13.3 inch (non-AMOLED) tablet being leaked out recently as well.
As with any Samsung event, users can catch all the action from the company’s official YouTube page too. The event will be held at Madison Square Garden in New York City starting from 18:00 local time on June 12.
Samsung will be launching an AMOLED tablet for the first time since the Galaxy Tab 7.7 back in 2011, so it’s quite a significant addition to Samsung’s tablets. Bear in mind that Samsung has already launched seven tablets this year with the three Galaxy Tab Pro devices, the Galaxy Note Pro as well as the three Galaxy Tab 4 tablets not too long ago. So it will be interesting to see where these new tablets will fit in given that the company has already crowded the midrange and high end market segments with the aforementioned tablets.
