A new rumor is suggesting that the HTC One M8 Ace could break cover on June 3. The smartphone is expected to pack current gen hardware while the One M8 Prime is the high end variant which is expected to launch in August. The One M8 Ace is being touted as a variant of the One M8 but with a plastic enclosure instead of aluminum. The Duo Camera on the back is expected to be missing as well, so quite a lot is different with this new variant of the HTC flagship.
It is said that the One M8 Ace will utilize the same quad core Snapdragon 801 chipset, although it will be clocked at 2.5 GHz instead of 2.3 GHz. It is also expected to come with a 5 inch 1080p display, a 13-megapixel camera on the back, 2GB of RAM and Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The device is expected to carry a price tag of 3,000 CNY in China which is approximately $481. It seems like the smartphone will be targeted towards China, but we cannot rule out a global launch somewhere down the line.
