With the LG L70 launching via Verizon as the Optimus Exceed 2, it seems like Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile are prepping the launch of its slightly more powerful sibling, the LG L90. Known as the LG Volt on both carriers, the smartphone has shown itself in a couple of leaked images today with no word on pricing or availability yet.
The LG L90 was announced with a 4.7 inch 960×540 resolution display, a quad core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 chipset, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, Android 4.4.2 KitKat and a 2,540 mAh battery. Considering that the LG Volt is nothing but a rebranded version of the L90, we shouldn’t see a lot of differences in terms of hardware.
Both handsets should be sold for a reasonable off contract price, perhaps under $200 given the hardware on offer. What makes the smartphones attractive to the consumers is the fact that it’s running the latest version of Android by default with features like the Knock Code which was first shown off with the LG G Pro 2 back in February.
