Tired of getting all those Bluetooth headsets that doesn’t sound good? LG in partnership with Harmon/Kardon, one of the world’s leading acoustic technology companies, has developed the LG Tone Infinim (HBS-900) Bluetooth stereo headset which promises to be the perfect companion to the upcoming LG G3. This headset combines both a superior sound quality with a comfortable easy to use design.
According to Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications, “LG’s newest premium headset co-developed with Harman/Kardon will be the perfect companion device to complement our new flagship smartphone LG G3, offering superior sound for a superior phone. With Tone Infinim, LG is continuing the trend established by the original Tone for offering premium Bluetooth headsets that are both comfortable and stylish.”
Michael Mauser, executive vice president and president of Harman’s Lifestyle Division, said about its partnership with LG “We are excited to collaborate with LG on their newest Bluetooth headset. If you think the design of the LG Tone Infinim looks familiar then it’s probably because it looks like the company’s previously released LG Tone (HBS700) Bluetooth headset or the LG Tone Ultra (HBS800). The Tone Infinim looks physically similar to these previous models however its advantage is that it uses Harmon/Kardon technology.
The Tone Infinim is also optimized for use with the LG G3 however that doesn’t prevent this from being used by other smartphones. It’s just that consumers will be able to maximize its features when it is used on LG’s upcoming flagship smartphone.
Starting with its design, this latest Bluetooth headset uses a retractable wire management technology that prevents wires from being tangled. It also comes with a jog button that allows for easy fats forward and rewind of music. It also comes with sound and vibration alert that notifies a user of incoming messages, current time, or even battery status.
One of the LG G3 specific features that can be used with this headset is the Name Alert. The headset announces the name or number of the person calling. This makes it easy for a user to know who is calling them without taking their smartphone out of their pocket. This can be quite useful when a person is jogging, riding a bike, or driving a car.
Another feature that can only be used when paired with a G3 is the Answer Me+ feature. When the LG G3 is raised over the ear it will automatically get disconnected from the Tone Infinim allowing for direct use with the smartphone.
The battery of the Tone Infinim allows for 17 hours of talk time or 550 hours of standby time which is quite impressive. What’s probably one of the minor issues of this headset is that it uses Bluetooth 3.0 instead of Bluetooth 4.0. LG probably did this to make it compatible with a wide range of devices.
This latest Bluetooth headset of LG will become available worldwide this summer with prices to be announced soon.
