The LG G3 has just been officially announced by LG at an event held in London. The manufacturer has now announced that the smartphone will be available through all four major carriers in the U.S. such as AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon. Pricing details haven’t been specified at the moment, but we expect the handset to break cover by the end of June.
T-Mobile claims that the G3 will be available in Summer while AT&T simply mentions that the handset will be launched later this year, which could mean anything. But given the urgency among carriers to launch a flagship product, we don’t think AT&T will like to miss out on launch time action.
It is said that Sprint will be bringing the Shine Gold variant of the smartphone as an exclusive to the U.S., which should be something to look forward to. We can expect both Verizon and Sprint to launch the LG G3 sometime next month along with the T-Mobile and AT&T models.
The LG G3 will feature a 5.5 inch 2K display, a 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 801 chipset, 2/3GB of RAM depending on markets, 16/32GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot, a 13-megapixel camera with OIS+ and Laser Auto Focus, Android 4.4.2 KitKat and a 3,000 mAh battery.
