LG’s curved wonder of a smartphone is getting an update to Android 4.4.2 KitKat on another carrier today, after AT&T and Sprint. T-Mobile is now pushing the update to the LG G Flex in the form of a 147 MB over-the-air package that will bump the software version up to D95920d. The update includes LG’s KnockCode feature, which allows users to set custom tap patterns for locking and waking up the phone.
Other than that, you’re looking at the usual KitKat goodies, including white status bar icons, wireless printing support, faster performance, improved battery life, captions support, and options to set the default messaging and launcher apps. The update should be showing up on devices in the next few hours, though you can go into the Settings » General » SYSTEM » About phone » System updates menu to force it to download right away.
