According to a new rumor, HTC will start selling the One M8 Prime in September with a hardware to rival the best of the best. As we know, the 2K display trend has already begun with LG expected to launch its first smartphone with the said display while Samsung is rumored to have something up its sleeve as well. HTC is expected to follow suit later this year, but with a slightly upgraded hardware specs sheet.
If the report is to be believed, the handset could launch with a 5.5 inch 2K Quad HD display, a 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 805 chipset, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and a 5-megapixel Ultrapixel camera along with a secondary 18-megapixel depth focusing sensor. We’re not too sure about that secondary camera, so take it with a pinch of salt. These rumors can usually go either way, but considering that HTC is supposed to launch a successor to the One Max later this year, it’s safe to assume that this could be it, although it’s way too early to tell.
