A developer edition of the Samsung Galaxy S5 was listed on the Korean manufacturer’s website in early April, and now the device has gone up for sale from Samsung’s website. At $599, you will be able to buy a Galaxy S5 that comes with its bootloader unlocked even though it’s Verizon-branded, and make all the software modifications you would want to without any corporate interventions to stop you.
As usual, except for an unlocked bootloader, the hardware and software haven’t changed. The Galaxy S5 Developer Edition sports a 5.1-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, 2.5GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16-megapixel ISOCELL camera, IP67 water and dust-resistance, fingerprint sensor, a 2,800 mAh battery, and Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Samsung (and Verizon’s) features and services added on top.
Hit the source link to buy the Galaxy S5 Developer Edition. The price of the handset will appear after you add it to cart, just so you know, though that’s likely a glitch that will be taken care of soon.
