Android Device Manager udpated with a new Guest Mode feature

Android Device Manager

Most Android users will be aware of the Android Device Manager app, which basically locates your phone or tablet and erases essential data in the event of theft or loss. The app has now received a new Guest Mode feature which will let you track your lost phone from another Android device.

Users can access the guest mode directly within the app and sign out with ease as well. All it will ask for is your email and password where the lost phone is registered. It’s fairly straightforward from there and users can easily find their device and do the needful. It’s good to know that Google is building this feature within the app, thus providing more convenience to the users.

Users were already able to access Android Device Manager from the browser, so the availability of this guest mode within the app makes it slightly easier for users to switch between accounts.

The feature should make its way with the latest update to the app (version 1.2.12). The new iteration of ADM can be download manually from one of the mirror sites here.
